For all of you completely obsessed with light rail and wishing that you had one in your city, you can drool over Seattle’s newest mode of transport.

Frequent posts about transit, urban design, competitions, green walls etc. Lots of good stuff to pour through. Content is comprised of links from other blogs with a fair amount of commentary provided. Props goes to the site for commenting on the ASLA’s basic lack of recession coping resources (free and relevant) for those trying to maneuver through these tough economic times.

Lastly, a radio show that I forgot to post eons ago about the topic of shrinking cities and suburban retrofits. Planners in Flint discuss rethinking growth, interim use, and the allowance for the city to become much more loose in its subsequent development in these post growth years. Cities Youngstown, Dayton, and Baltimore are also mentioned. Where else is this going on? Does anyone have images to share? I’d love to post some.
