New Blog Sites and Online Publications

A few new blog sites about things landscape, urban, and some architecture were just recently sent our way.

The first, www.vulgare.net is run by Thomas Barbey, a French landscape designer and artist who is collecting all sorts of fantastic and sometimes unusual landscape photos and posting them to his site as well as providing commentary about landscape architecture. One recent post was a building lettuce shadow that was comprised of 10,000 lettuce plants.  You have to check out out to understand the description. Nice!

The second is a little bit more local to us and was just launched by the Architectural League of New York. Urban Omnibus in their own words,  is

...a relationship between design and New York City's physical environment: revealing the choices shaping the city, encouraging conversation, inspiring innovation.

so far features on this new site include stories in and around New York City about community based initiatives and local design discourse.

The third is an online student journal, trays out of Harvard's Graduate School of Design. The spring issue is still posted here http://72.167.142.101/index.php
