In D.C.? News from the Sustainable Cities Collective
The Sustainable Cities Collective is launching a new site and kicking it off with a free lunchtime panel for those of you in D.C.
Governing People (http://governingpeople.com), a moderated community for advocates of smart, efficient, and transparent government, is sponsoring a unique event on Tuesday, September 8 to mark our launch out of beta. We've assembled several of the best and brightest voices at the intersection of social media and government to share their best practices and muse about the future of Government 2.0.
In collaboration with Gov 2.0 Expo Showcase producers Techweb and O'Reilly Media, Governing People's luncheon panel will occur at noon in the Washington D.C. Convention Center. Panelists include senior officials from the General Services Administration, Department of Homeland Security, Microsoft, IBM, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Dress code is business casual. For details and to RSVP for this free event, please visit http://tr.im/gov20lunch today!
