Branch: A Public Space Project

A little Brooklyn centric news, though relevant in concept to everyone... Two activities are happening this month to counter the loss of the Brooklyn Public Libraries closing on Sundays as a result of the crappy economy.

Branch, conceived as a public space project/community design/temporary inhabitation project is making its debut this Sunday at the Myrtle Avenue Street Festival and will be appearing subsequent Sundays at the Citibank parking lot  (intersection of Myrtle and Clinton Avenues) as part of Move About Myrtle month.

Also, if you would like to financially support this endeavor, there will be a fundraiser on September 16 from 7-10p at the Melville House, 145 Plymouth Street at Pearl in DUMBO. Only 5 bucks!! to help the cause. That's my kind of fundraiser.

To volunteer, donate (money or books) and find out more.
